Tone-XSurprise Celebrity Roast Party

Comedian Tone-X was honored at a celebrity roast presented by Y Square Management. The event, held Monday, at Apostrophe Lounge, was in celebration of a national comedian and his rise to the top! Tone-X has had continued success both as an entertainer and a philanthropist. The event was hosted by national spoken word artist, Bluz, and featured some of Charlotte's own renowned entertainers and other notable figures from organizations such as the Carolina Panthers and Power 98 FM.

This was truly a place to see and be seen. Tone-x was surprised to see all the fans, friends and family in one room paying homage to him. The red carpet event concluded with an announcement that Tone-X will be appearing on comedian Monique's new late night talk show, which is still in the works to air on BET.

In addition to comedy, Tone-X does lecture tours, hosts a weekly comedy show Tuesday nights called "Tone-X & Friends" at Scandalos and is a personality on the #1 morning show in Charlotte, “No Limit Larry and the Morning Madd House” on Power 98 FM. Tone-X is also the official host of the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats and was formerly the host for the WNBA’s Charlotte Sting. He’s the president of “Tone-X Extended Family” a nonprofit organization and “Big Jus Entertainment.” He also serves as one of the board of directors for Alley Hoops Jam, nonprofit foundation. Tone –X recently joined comedian Monique for the national “Soul Summer Fest Tour,” and Mike Epps on the “Mike Epps & friends Tour” which have both been getting rave reviews by critics and fans.

Top hip-hop artist in the industry such as Jay-Z, T.I., Rick Ross, KRS One and the late Notorious B.I.G. have had the privilege of Tone-X serving as their master of ceremonies. Tone-X was the national opener for “The Kings of Comedy” tour, the highest grossing comedy tour ever! He has toured with Dave Chappelle, Bernie Mack, and Chris Tucker. He’s been featured on “Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam”, BET’S “Comic View”, P. Diddy Presents “The Bad Boy’s of Comedy” (the #1 comedy series on HBO) and the “Bad Boy’s of Comedy” DVD which was distributed world wide and has sold over 2 million copies!
